59 -- HIGH POWER RF SWITCHES POC Ms. Susie Burris, Code 1165ZG, 812-854-3696, e-mail burris_s@crane.navy.mil WEB: Click here to view specifications, www.crane.navy.mil. E-MAIL: Click here to reach POC, burris_s@crane.navy.mil. The Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center is seeking prospective sources to provide high power RF switches. The RF switches' requirements are described in the preliminary draft specification found at www.crane.navy.mil. It is anticipated that 32 RF switches will be required per node and that 4 nodes plus one (1) prototype node will be required. Spare and pipeline RF Switch requirements are not known at this time. The SP3T RF switch is to be used as a control element in an active phased array antenna (APAA). In this application the RF output of the switch will be connected to the active elements of the antenna. Potential sources must provide a budgetary estimate (closing date for submission of response is COB 24 February 2000) for the manufacture of two (2) fully functional engineering samples, and 40 full specification compliant RF switches. The engineering samples shall be provided within four (4) months after contract award. Delivery of the 40 full specification RF switches shall begin six (6)months after contract award with a minimum of 8 RF switches delivered per month. Multiple responses from a single source are allowed. Responses shall be limited to 30 pages for the technical portion. Technical information shall include RF switch and, where applicable, RF switch sub assemblies design and/or test data. The source shall provide an update to the attached preliminary specification that replaces the TBDs with numerical values for the offered RF Switch. Design calculations shall be supported with applicable and relevant test data where possible. Test data shall include electrical performance and life test data. Prior experience with achieving the required power at or near the required RF frequencies and with the same or higher bandwidth shall be included if possible. The relevancy of design calculations or data shall be stated if not clearly discernable from its context. RF switch performance and/or life test procedures, including detailed measurement procedures for the test requirements of the attached preliminary specification, are encouraged and may be included in the source's response and will not be counted against the 30 page technical portion limit. Please do not furnish data which is irrelevant or that is not applicable to this specification's requirements. Teaming among sources is allowed.
