All information under the original synopsis is hereby deleted and replaced with the following: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and written solicitations will not be issued. Solicitation is issued for Request for Quotation (RFQ) #F41652-00-Q0048. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-014. This is a small business set-aside procurement under SIC Code 5091, Swimming Pools and Equipment. There is one contract line item (CLIN). CLIN 0001 IAW General Specifications: Make: Natural Structures; Model Number: 301-1616, 301-1625, and 301-1628 or like item. Slide is to be corkscrew style and fit the area to be designated at the site visit. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to install a water slide, install and hook up electric to water pump, ensure the pump is functional and hook up water delivery system for slide. Standard Manufacturer Warranty is required. A site visit is scheduled for 28 Jan 00 at 1:00 PM (CST). All contractors shall meet in the 7th Contracting Squadron Conference Room located at 381 Third Street, Dyess AFB, Texas. We request all interested contractors to confirm your intentions to attend this site visit through telephone of fax no later than 12:00 PM CST on 27 Jan 00. Please provide your company name, point of contact and a phone number in case the site visit date and/or time is changed. The contractor shall provide the name of the contract manager, an on-site representative able to make decisions for the contractor, in writing to the Contracting Officer prior to start of work. The contract manager shall be available between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM (CDT), Monday through Friday. The contract manager must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Contractor personnel shall present a neat appearance and be easily recognized. This may be accomplished by wearing distinctive clothing bearing the name of the company or by wearing appropriate badges, which display company name and employee name. The contractor shall obtain personnel and vehicle passes for base entrance and exit of employees. The contractor shall be responsible for safeguarding all government property provided for contractor use. At the close of each work period, government facilities, equipment and materials shall be secured. All work shall be performed IAW industry standards. The contractor shall conform to all Base Regulations and Directives, as identified specifically at the pre-performance conference, that pertain to security, safety, traffic, fire, and personnel clearances, insofar as they apply to the contractor's activities as directed. The contractor shall comply with Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) standards, Code of Federal Regulations, Chap 16, Part 1207, suggested Health and Safety guidelines and Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines..
