all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dockside repairs
including but not limited to the following Base Items: (1) Repair Deck
Plating Below Mooring Winches, (2) Clean, Inspect and Preserve Waste
Oil Tank, (3) Renew Water-Tight Door and Hatches, (4) Clean and Test
Heat Exchangers, (5) Clean Shipboard Ventilation Systems, (6) Overhaul
Towing Machine, (7) Overhaul and Weight Test Shipboard Davit Crane,
Allied-Marine Model 5000, (8) Overhaul and Weight Test Motor Surf Boat
and Davit Assembly, (9) Renew Stainless Steel Bulkheads in Galley and
Scullery, (10) Preserve Hawser Locker, (11) Renew Deck Covering
System, (12) Provide Temporary Berthing, (13) GFP Report. Optional
Items include but are not limited to the following: (1) Welding
Repairs, (2) Ultrasonic Testing, (3) Composite Labor. Place of
performance is restricted to the vessel_s homepier of Cheboygan, MI.
Vessel_s availability schedule is 15 May 2000 for 35 calendar days.
Vessel is a 290 Foot Icebreaker. All referenced documents are available
for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA. A charge
of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order
made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Drawings
are also available, free of charge, on CD-ROM. For more information
about CD-ROM drawings, contact the Contracting Officials listed above.
All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the
subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or
after 01 February 2000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which
shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. ATTENTION:

The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program
(STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit
to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
