Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation (F26600-00-Q0041) is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-5. This acquisition is set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. The SIC code for this solicitation is 7515. Far 19 classifies small businesses as those that gross equal to or less than $18.5 million annually based on the average of the offeror_s past three fiscal years. The item description is as follows: Non-Personal Service to lease four (4) 4 X 4, 4 door, 6 passenger trucks from for a period of 12 months beginning on or about 15 Mar 00 with two 12 month option years. The vehicles will have the following minimum equipment: air-conditioning, towing package, diesel engine, bed liners, vinyl flooring and all season tires. Lease includes unlimited mileage for each year of the lease and manufactures basic lease care program (to include emergency roadside service, repairs, and service), factory warranty, and all maintenance, including oil changes and tire rotation, according to the manufacture_s scheduled maintenance plan. The contractor will provide a replacement vehicle within 24 hours in event the lease vehicle requires maintenance for a period of 7 days or more. The Government shall provide daily maintenance and upkeep of the vehicles, such as gasoline, motor oil, anti-freeze and similar items as required for day to day operation. Option years to include 15 Mar 2001 _ 28 Feb 2002, and 15 Mar 2002 _ 28 Feb 2003. The government required delivery date is 30 days after ARO. Award will be based on past performance and price. The government will evaluate the total price by adding the total price for the basic 12 month period and two option periods. The government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the government to exercise the options.
