NASA/DFRC plans to issue a Request for Offer for Modification to the existing HVAC system by converting the constant volume air handling to variable air volume on the north end of the building. Replacement of the existing steam heating coil in the air handling unit with steam to hot water heat transfer package and hot water piping to VAV units heating coil. Modifications to the existing automatic control system to accommodate the HVAC modifications. The existing HVAC control systems and components are "Siemens Building Technology, Inc., Landis Division"; the new control system and components shall be manufactured and compatible with the same. Provide 120 VAC for each new VAV and CAV installed on the north wing of the building. This work will be phased. All construction work on the project will be performed during non-office hours from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 1542 and 17 million,respectively. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The anticipated release date of RFO4-00021 is on or about Feb 02, 2000 with an anticipated bid due date of on or about Mar 03, 2000.
