Global Positioning System (GPS) Joint Program Office (JPO),
Miniaturized Airborne GPS Receiver (MAGRs) Program Office intends to
modify existing contract F04701-99-C-0051 to procure additional
Miniaturized Airborne GPS Receivers (MAGRs). Rockwell Collins, P/N
R-2514A, NSN: 5826-01-387-0975, 70 ea; and P/N R-2512A, NSN:
5826-01-387-0976, 284 ea, with the option to purchase an additional 300
ea of NSN: 5826-01-387-0976. Delivery destination is San Diego CA.
Delivery schedule is requested to be 20 ea per month, beginning 10
months ARO. Duration of contract period is 15 months, an additional 15
months should the option be utilized. Anticipated award date is 14 Feb
00. Intended source is Rockwell Collins, Government Systems Division,
Cedar Rapids IA, authorized under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Rockwell
Collins is the sole manufacturer of MAGRs and is the only known company
capable of providing the production requirement within the required
time period. Interested parties are invited to submit a statementof
capabilities which includes the following information: a technical
description of the offeror_s receiver sufficient for government
evaluation of receivers as equivalent to MAGRs and the information
required by Note 25. Interested offerors must submit Statements of
Capabilities (SOCs) which clearly show they are qualified to perform
this effort. SOCs should be sent to SMC/CZK, 2435 Vela Way, Suite 1613,
Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA 90245-5500 (Attn: Lisa Vanderpoorten).
If no affirmative responses are received by 11 Feb 00 to the effect
that a comparable source is available, a modification will be issued to
the current contract. No contract award will be made on the basis of
offers or proposals received in response to this Posted 01/25/00
