Sp., phone: 505-761-4412, fax: 761-4462, Albuquerque, NM NRCS is anticipating soliciting professional services for design and construction inspection in the near future. There are potentially two types of projects to be designed and inspected: 1) Design work to remove and replace surfaces of deteriorated concrete on a large reinforced concrete emergency spillway chute for a high hazard flood control dam near Santa Cruz, New Mexico, in accordance with NRCS design criteria and current concrete practice standards, and 2. Design work to upgrade/enlarge the dam and spillways of a high hazard earthfill flood control dam near either Carlsbad or Las Cruces, New Mexico, in accordance with NRCS design criteria and state dam safety requirements. Designs will include construction drawings, contract specifications, quantities, bid schedule, cost estimate, etc. plus hydrology, geologic investigation, soil mechanics sampling, testing and analyses, design engineer's report, geologic and soil mechanics reports as applicable. Construction inspection work would include providing inspection to ensure quality assurance and compliance with the construction contract documents. See Note 24.
