This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number 6TSA-00-JAG-0045 is being issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-14. Requirement: FOB: Destination: Milwaukee, WI. Scope of Work: Part I. Riser Termination and Splicing for Bldg 70. A. Provide material and labor to terminate new feed cable in Bldg. 70 wire closets as follows: (1) D Wing, level 1, 400 pair cable terminated in 110 blocks. (2) C Wing, level 1, 400 pair cable terminated on 110 block. (3) A Wing, level 1, 200 pair cable terminated on 110 block. (4) E Wing, level 1, 400 pair terminated on 110 blocks (200 pair dedicated to E Wing, 2nd level). (5) E Wing, level 2, 200 pair terminated on 110 blocks. B. Provide material and labor to install cross connects for all active workstations: (1) cross connect approx. 400 active telephone locations, (2) Cross connect approx. 110 DHCP locations, (3) cross connect approx. 115 new E Wing telephone locations. (Note: cross connects will be from new feed to new station wire and will not affect service. C. Provide material and labor to splice 1400 pair of riser cable and relocate 400 sets to new jacks: (1) Work to be performed on Saturdays, (2) splicing will affect one wing per weekend, (3) sets must move in conjunction with splicing. Note: price quotes must include cross connects and relocation of sets Part II. A. Provide materials and labor to install new feed cable in Bldg 70 wire closets: (1) D Wing, level 1, 400 pair from PB2, (2) C wing, level 1, 400 pair from PB2. (3) A Wing, level 1, 200 pair from PB4. (4) E wing, level 1, 400 pair from PB2. (5) E Wing, level 2, 200 pair from E Wing, level 1. (Note: wire pulling will not affect service of live sets and terminals). B. Coring and sleeves in walls and floors. (1) One 2" floor core and sleeve between E1 and E2, (2) One 2" wall core and sleeves each into: A1 IDF, C1 IDF, D1 IDF, E1 IDF. (3) One 2" hold and chase nipple into pull box 4. (4) Three 2" wall cores and sleeves from corridor into stairwell. (5) Four 2" wall cores and sleeves to pass through A Wing locked doors. (6) Extended electrical box PB2 in D Wing stairwell to include new cores. No partial quotes will be considered. No substitutions will be allowed. Please acknowledge all requirements on quotations. Please indicate FOB destination: Milwaukee, WI on quote. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, applies to this acquisition. Evaluation is based on best value including cost and ability to meet service requirements. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. In addition to the guidance contained in FAR 52.212-4, contractors shall submit proof of delivery with their invoices. Proof of delivery may be in the form of a bill of lading or other shipping document signed by the receiving office. Invoices received without proof of delivery will not be accepted.
