Furnish all labor, supplies, equipment and transporation necessary to perform precommercial thinning and/or manual release of conifer plantations. Item 1 -- Precommercial thinning will treat 170 trees per acre by removing excess conifers (16'x16' spacing). Item 2 -- Precommercial thinning and Release combined will treat 170 trees per acre by removing competing vegetation from around crop trees and thinning excess conifers (16'x16' spacing). Item 3 -- Manual Release will treat 125 trees per acre by removing competing vegetation from around crop (18'x18' spacing). All units will be lopped and scattered. This is an indefinite quantity contract. The government shall order a minimum of 200 acres of work and a maximum of 500 acres of work. Work is to be performed for the Salmon River Ranger District, Klamath National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. Contract time is 65 calendar days. The date for issuance and receipt of quotations has not been established, but is estimated that quotes will be due the latter part of Feburary, 2000.
