The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) has a requirement for Shop Towel Laundering Services in support of U.S. Naval ships located in the Puget Sound, WA area. The contractor will be responsible for pickup, delivery, and laundering both contractor supplied shop towels and Government supplied shop towels. The resulting contract will be an Indefinite Delivery, Requirements type contract, with delivery orders and payment restricted to the Government purchase card. The RFQ will utilize FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition, procedures and will be issued for a base year, with 2 option years. The following yearly estimates are provided for the laundering services to be required under this acquisition: 150,000 Contractor owned shop towels; and 60,000 Government owned shop towels. These yearly estimates will apply to both the base and option years. The RFQ will also provide a CLIN for an estimated 4500 replacement shop towels per year, to replace contractor owned shop towels that are either lost or damaged by the Government. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 16 Feb 00 with responses due by 09 Mar 00. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
