Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and
supervision required to remove existing metal staircases, landings and
railings and replace with new metal staircases, landings and railings
at U. S. Coast Guard CAMSLANT, Chesapeake, Va. All new metal work
shall be galvanized. Performance period is 90 days after Notice to
Proceed. The SIC code assigned is 3446. Size standard is 500. Due dates
for quotes will be approximately 03/10/00. Estimated range of this
project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation can be

unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program. It is not a set-aside. Any business, regardless

(DOT), Office of Small Business and Disadvantaged Business Utilization
(OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT bonding assistance program enable firms to apply for bid,
payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are also available under DOT short term lending program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
