Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, transportation and supervision necessary for the Satterlee Hall Asbestos Removal at USCG Academy, New London, CT. The work includes removal and disposal of asbestos containing material (ACM). Successful contractor shall remove and dispose of all insulation from piping located in the basement crawlspace of Satterlee Hall. All damaged insulation that has fallen from pipes will be removed. Contaminated soil will be removed. Contractor shall be responsible for the set up of engineering controls to avoid the spread of asbestos to other areas of the building. Decontamination of all surfaces and disposal of all ACM is required. All local, state and federal regulations shall be followed in the execution of removal and disposal of asbestos. NOTE: STATE OF CONNECTICUT GOVERNING LAW AND REGULATIONS REQUIRE ASBESTOS ABATEMENT CONTRACTORS TO BE LICENSED IN THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT FOR WORK PERFORMED IN THE STATE. Bidders shall submit copy of State of Connecticut license with their bid. Estimated cost range of this project is $100,000 to $250,000.
