99 -- WILD HORSE AND BURRO FEEDING SERVICES, SPARKS, NEVADA SOL NAB000040 DUE 031500 POC Ms. Marty Coffey, (303) 236-9439 The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for large animal feeding services for wild horses and burros being maintained at the BLM National Wild Horse and Burro Center at Palomino Valley, Nevada (near Sparks, NV) The contractor is to provide its own personnel (approximately 2 or 4 persons) on a daily basis, for the feeding of approximately 2500 wild horses and burros during the facilities peak months (August through March of each year). The facility may have as few as 50 animals during slack times (April through June of each year). BLM will provide the feed, supplemental feed, and equipment necessary for the contractor to perform the feeding services. The contract will be structured with a base year plus four (4) option years. The Contractor shall be reimbursed on a per month basis. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The solicitation will be issued on or about February 15, 2000. These services are under Standard Industrial Code 8999, and Product Service Code F016. A pre-bid conference/site visit will be held on approximately February 29, 2000.
