Hartleben (309)782-7116 The M3 Borescope is a portable optical borescope used to visually inspect canon bores, 58mm (2.3 in) to 203.2mm (8in) in diameter. Three extension tube assemblies containing the appropriate optical systems are provided as part of the M3 package to permit inspection of bores having lengths up to approximately 26 feet. Support rings are provided to center the borescope. Illumination is provided by incandescent bulbs pwered by either 115-volt ac or 24-volt dc power. Extension tubes are made from aluminum alloy 6061-T6 seamless tubing. The borescope consists essentially of the following assemblies in a carry case: Eyepiece Adapter Tube -- connects the eyepiece assembly to the borescope extension tube, or objective tube assembly, depending on the length of the bore to be inspected. Extension Tube I -- made up of two interconnecting tube, each containing an erector lens. Extension Tube II -- made up of two interconnecting tubes, each contining an erector lens. Extension Tube II -- made up of two interconnecting tubes, each containing an erector lens. Objective Tube -- made up of two interconnecting bute assemblies, one with an objective lens and erector lens, and the other with an erector lens only.
