NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for fabrication of 3 different parabolic molds as per drawings that will be provided by request when solicitation is posted. ( No drawings will be provided before the soliciation.) These molds will be used to cast parabolic polymer mirrors for research evaluation. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 3827 and 500 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurment is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 1-057-RCG.1030 is on or about January 31, 2000 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about Febrary 15, 2000. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
