Washington, Contracting Officer (501) 257-1027 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the subparts in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6 and Veterans Administration Acquisition Regulations (VAAR) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request for Quotation number 598-7-00 applies and is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation is being conducted using the test program for certain commercial items in accordance with FAR Subpart 13-5; simplified acquisition procedures apply; and this procurement will be conducted according to a combination of FAR Parts 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and 13 (simplified Acquisition Procedures). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. The acquisition is set aside for Total Small Business and Small Disadvantage Businesses are highly encouraged to participate. This solicitation is identified as "Brand Name or Equal", the purchase description reflects the characteristics and level of quality that will satisfy the Government's needs. The salient physical, functional or performance characteristics that "equal" products must meet FAR 52.211-6 specified in the solicitation. Clearly identify the item by Brand name, if any; and Make or model number; Include descriptive literature such as illustrations drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Contracting Officer. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3861 and the business size standard is 500 employees. PRICING SHALL BE SUBMITTED FOR COPIER COPIES AT PER COPY COST SERVICE ESTIMATED 200,000 COPIES PER MONTH IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) STATEMENT OF WORK: STATEMENT OF WORK: The contractor shall provide: a copier for Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Mental Health Vocational Rehabilitation Printing Clinic; Bldg. 89, 2200 Fort Roots Drive, North little Rock, AR 72114, for the period of one (1) base year and four (4) option years. The contractor shall supply equipment, maintenance and shall bill at a per Copy rate. Full service to include all parts, labor and toner for Copier Cost per copy to yield approximately 200,000 black & white copies per month. Minimum copier features: Oce' 3165 B&W Digital Copier or Equal: Digital printing capability with connectivity to VA Vista net Capable of 62 copies per minute 600 DP1 resolution Recalculating document feeder Copy/press technology, not xerography process Mono component toner for ease of loading Low temperature fusing system for decreased maintenance costs The contractor shall provide, at no additional charge, all software updates upgrades and patches as offered by OEM.
