DESC: This is combined synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only quotation. Quotes are being request and a written quotation will not be issued. This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for small businesses and the applicable Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 3949. All equipment must be IPEMA certified. All equipment must be in compliance with Consumer Product Safety Commission Guidelines for Playground Safety. All equipment must be rust resistant support structure (uprights). Only stainless steel nuts, bolts, screws, washers, ect. Will be used. Posts should arrive from the factory pre-drilled. Fasteners for bolts should be one piece, not slip-clamps. Wood, carpet and support timbers will be included. The system should be rated to accommodate approximately 80 children ages 5-12 and 20 tots ages 2-4 at any one time. The following equipment is a minimum of what we are looking for. Tot Play Equipment (2-4 year olds): 1 ea straight slide (2 1/2' high), 1 ea straight tube slide (2' high), 1 ea crawl tube with peepholes (2' in diameter), Steering wheel panel, Panels with various activities, Various shaped platforms or decks with and without roofs, Transfer stations for handicapped access, Various steps and / or ladders. Children's Play Equipment (5-12 year olds): 1 ea curved tube slide (6' high), 1 ea split double slide (5' high), 1 ea angled tube slide with window (4' high), Steps incorporated into an animal shape, Climbing wall(s) with hand holds, Various activity panels i.e. (steering wheel, animal graphics, count and spell), Bridges of varying types and lengths, Climbing poles of various shapes and sizes, Various vertical and horizontal ladders, Various shaped platforms or decks with and without roofs, 1 ea crawl tube with peepholes, 1 ea crawl tube with hand/foot holds (5' high), Steering wheel panel, Transfer stations for handicapped access, Steps, Ramps, Transition steps. Other Equipment: Six position swing with 4 swings for older children and 2 for tots, free standing climber, Two free standing animals or vehicles for tots. There are several provisions and clauses that apply to this acquisition. The first provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, is applicable to this acquisition. There is an addendum to paragraph (h) in this provision. We will not be making multiple awards, just a single award. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, is hereby incorporated with the following evaluation factors to be included in paragraph (a) technical capability of offered items to meet agency requirement, price, and past performance. Offerors must include with their offer a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items. The next clause is 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items. Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, shall also be incorporated into the contract.
