Solutions, Inc., Corvallis, Oregon for the acquisition of 8' Rotary Screw Fish Traps. The passive capture design; the flow-through, self cleaning live well; modular design; and the ability to locate these units in remote sections of free flowing rivers are technical features that are unique to this trap and unavailable from any other source. The Rotary Screw Fish Trap is a patented item and E. G. Solutions is the sole licensed manufacturer of this trap. This unit offers reasonable capture efficiencies and minimal harm to Atlantic salmon smolts in the Penobscot River that may include individuals from populations currently being considered for listing under the Endangered Species Act. As such, documented low mortality of Atlantic salmon smolts is required. Authority: 41 USC 253(c)(1). E. G. Solutions, Inc. is the only known source capable of providing the required 8' Rotary Screw Fish Traps under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required assessments.
