The VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York at Syracuse intends to make a sole source award for preventive maintenance and repair service for a Siemens Multistar Angiographic c-arm, table and x-ray generator, imaging equipment, PolytronTOP digital image processing computer with Magicview 1000 workstation. The justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Negotiations will be held directly with the manufacturer of this equipment Siemens Medical Systems, Inc., 105 Gamma Drive, Pittsburgh Pa 15238. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Offerors who request a copy of the solicitation and/or simply provide a statement that they can provide the required items will not be considered. Responsible sources may respond by submitting information identifying their capability to supply such a service with adequate technical information for the Government's evaluation.
