The work includes the demolition of all interior partitions and finishes; the removal of the metal siding on the south side of the building; the removal of the existing metal roof including the turbines and vents; the removal of all exterior windows and wall-mounted air handlers as well as the demolition of all HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. This building was found to have asbestos tile on all the floors; most has been covered with carpet. The paint in the interior and exterior of the building is a lead-based paint. Abatement of these materials will be required. The remodel will include a redesign of the interior office space providing a training room, cashier area, foyer, sales area, restrooms, storage room, utility room and two offices. New entrances with stairs and a ramp and a new exit to the north side of the building. New exterior metal siding to match the existing on the east extension of the building, patching and painting the north and west sides. A new metal roof will be provided witha ridge vent that will match the existing roof and ridge vent on the east extension of the building. New HVAC system, plumbing and plumbing fixtures and new electrical system. Additive Bid Item #1: The work includes remove existing metal siding painted with lead-based paint, at south and west sides of west extension of building. Install pre-finished factory rolled formed wall system metal panels to match existing east side of building at south and west sides of west extension. Standard Industrial Code is 1542. The related Small Business Size is 17 million. The estimated cost of procurement will be between $250,000 and $500,000. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of the Internet. Plans and specifications will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet.
