The work shall consist of disconnection, transportation, blowdown, recapture, and certification of Halon in 26 existing Coast Guard owned storage cylinders for Halon fire protection systems located in Buildings N-38, 576, and T-1. Contractor will be required to provide documentation to the Contracting Officer verifying that the cylinders are Certified for an additional 12 years as required by the ASME Unfired Vessel Codes and the NFPA 12A Regulations. Statement of Work will list vessels to be Certified. Services are to be performed by a duly authorized inspector / service person. a. This solicitation is amended to reflect the addition of two (2) more cylinders, for a total of 26. b. Due date is extended to reflect February 15, 2000. c.
