DOES THIS MEAN TWO SUPPLY'S PARALLEL TO EACH OTHER (ONE TO OPEATE THE 21 SLOT VME64XTN BOARD, AND ONE TO OPERATE THE 21 SLOT REAR POSITION/SUBRACK VME BACKPLANE, (I'M ASSUMING THERE IS A 21 SLOT 6/U VME BACKPLANE BOARD, AS WELL) OR SHOULD THEY BE CURRENT SHARING WITH "ORING" DIODE CONNECTIONS, IN WHICH CASE, WHEN ONE FAILS (N+1) THE OTHER WILL CARRY THE FULL LOAD? ANSWER: The power supplies units (PSU) are true redundant with power load sharing capability. In the event one PSU fails, the alternate unit delivers power to all voltages. QUESTION: (I'M ASSUMING THERE IS A 21 SLOT 6/U VME BACKPLANE BOARD, AS WELL)? ANSWER: The rear backplane is a direct feedthrough of the user defined pins of the P2 and power supply pins of the P1 and P2 to the front backplane. QUESTION: THE 1000 WATT POWER SUPPLY AS CALLED OUT DOES NOT REFERENCE THE # OF OUTPUTS REQUIRED, NOR DOES IT IDENTIFY THE INDIVIDUAL OUTPUT RATINGS. WHAT ARE THE OUTPUT RATINGS? ANSWER: A single PSU delivers +5V @ 150A, +12V @ 20A (30A peak), additional +12V @ 10A, -12V @ 10A. QUESTION: THE LCD IS ALSO VAGUE. WHAT SIZE (MECHANICAL PARAMETERS), IS IT BLACK AND WHITE OR COLOR, HOW MANY CHARACTERS PER LINE MUST IT PROVIDE, AND WHERE IS IT MOUNTED (THE UNIT REQUIRES A PLEXIGLASS FRONT PANEL, SIZE OF WHICH IS DERIVED FROM THE SIZE OF THE LCD DISPLAY). ANSWER: Greyscale LCD display with 128x240 dot array, or 16 rows X 40 columns of characters (utilizing 5x7 character font in 6x8 character cell). Physical dimensions of LCD display are 170 x 105 mm mounted on front of chassis and clearly viewable. Plexiglass front panel to cover front card slot region.
