Computer Science Corporation (CSC) is seeking a Small Business firm, preferably a Small Disadvantaged Business with significant expertise in the Scientific Visualization field. There is a need for a subcontractor to direct, develop and produce a state-of-the-art scientific visualizations of complex and large data bases at the Engineer Research and Development Center's High Performance Computing Major Shared Resource Center, Vicksburg, MS. Potential sources would be expected to have a full knowledge and production capability in the field of Scientific Visualization. Knowledge of leading edge hardware and software is necessary, and should be coupled with innovative and artistic production skills. The work will be focused in assisting Research Scientists and Engineers in the visualization of complex data sets derived from computational analysis performed on High Performance Computers. CSC would expect to negotiate an annual contract with three one-year options. The level of effort would be in the three tosix man-year range with a preference given to Small Disadvantaged Business. Award would be expected near the latter part of March 2000. This notice is an attempt to identify available sources and interested parties.
