Essential Repair is only those repairs, bench checks, functional sheets, adjustments, test and work necessary to assure item(s) is restored to serviceable condition that will efficiently accomplish its intended purpose. Contractor will furnish all plant facilities, labor and equipment necessary to perform essential repair, calibration and functional test required to restore furnished reparable to a serviceable condition so as to accomplish its intended purpose. All repairs and testing shall be IAW mfg. specifications. The Air Force does not have any known detailed repair/test procedures to adequately repair subject item. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of an acquisition.
