SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS
TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The 15th
Contracting Squadron at Hickam AFB, HI is conducting a market survey to
determine the existence of potential sources to perform the food
service function on Johnston Island located about 800 miles SW of
Honolulu, HI in the Johnston Atoll (JA). This requirement is for a
commercial enterprise to provide a full food service concession to
include, but not be limited to purchasing, transporting, preparing,
serving, and cleaning, at the JA main dining facility and satellite
food service at the Johnston Atoll Chemical Agent Disposal System
(JACADS) dining facility. These services shall be provided in
accordance with the FDA Food Code, commercial food industry and local
procedures, which will result in a satisfactory or better rating in
health inspections. The contractor shall establish a system in which
customer feedback is received in order to better customer support. The
contractor shall provide menu selections and nutritional standards
equal or better than those outlined in the Air force World Wide Menu.
The contractor shall serve special meals during unique occasions, such
as holidays, various ethnic heritage months, or special events, at
least once a month. The contractor shall support JA organizational
events such as monthly cookouts and command directed events. The
contractor shall establish a system that identifies on a daily basis,
actual meals served to further identify individuals by name,
organization, and type of meal served. Meal service shall be provided
7 days a week to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, midnight and Sunday
brunch. Island population averages 1330 people with a projected yearly
meal count of just over 1 million meals. It is expected that the island
population will decrease significantly as the JACADS workload begins
decreasing in 2001 until the island's closure. The (SIC) code is 5812
Food Service, Institutional with a size standard of $15M. THERE IS NO
