This includes driving approximately 13,000 linear feet of sheetpiling upstream of the dam(s), removing a portion of the dam crest and placing a new reinforced concrete dam crest (approximately 750 cubic yards). The work also includes constructing a reinforced concrete wall (approximately 90 cubic yards) directly downstream of the upstream miter gates and anchoring the downstream miter gates in their recesses. The repairs at Dam #13 also require placing approximately 375 tons of stone protection on the right descending bank. The dam repair work will be performed from a floating plant in the Kentucky River, directly upstream of the dam. The project sites are remote and access is difficult for construction equipment. This is a sealed bid, continuing funded contract. This project will be available on approximately 14 FEB 2000 and will have a 30 day bidding period. The bid date will be on or about 15 MARCH 2000. There will be no charge for this solicitation package and will be available on CD ROM ONLY.
