Elmendorf AFB has requirement for the following types of asphalt: 1) City class C mix, 2) City class B mix, 3) Aviation mix, 4) D mix (driveway), 5) Joe Gear mix, 6) State Type 2 A mix, 7) State type 3 mix, and 8) 3/8" Minus Driveway mix. Requirements contract for a 365 -- day base year and three 365-day option years. Standard hours of operation are 7:00am through 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Minimum order of 50 tons for Saturday and Sunday pick-up. One hour notice prior to picking up product Monday through Friday. Twenty-four hour notice prior to Saturday pick-up and forty-eight hour notice prior to Sunday. Vendor must be located within a driveable twenty mile radius of Elmendorf Air Force Base as this will be a government pick-up. Estimated usage for the summer of 2000 is 7,140 tons.
