sought having the ability to provide OUT-PATIENT Transitional Drug
Abuse Treatment Services in Mobile, Alabama for Federal offenders
sentenced under various United States statutes. The source must be
licensed in the state of Alabama to provide substance abuse treatment
services. A firm-fixed-price-requirements type contract with a one year
base period and four one year option periods is anticipated. Services
will be required for the base period for an estimated 74 inmates, for
the first option year for an estimated 78 inmates, for the second
option year for 82 inmates, for the third option year for an estimated
84 inmates, and for the fourth option year for an estimated 86
inmates. Services to be performed for each inmate for the base period
and each option year will include one intake assessment, 96 thirty
minute sessions of individual counseling, 144 thirty minute sessions of
group counseling and 48 thirty minute sessions of family counseling.
The services shall be performed in accordancewith the Federal Bureau of
Prisons Statement of Work entitled, "Transitional Drug Abuse
Treatment(TDAT)", dated November 16, 1999, for community-based
substance abuse treatment services. The estimated issuance date for the
Request for Proposals(RFP) is April 3, 2000. The estimated closing date
for the RFP is May 3, 2000. All responsible sources may submit a
proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Those interested are
