E-MAIL: James Debelius, James.M.Debelius.1@gsfc.nasa.gov. NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for Test Equipment Calibration and Repair (TECR) Services. The purpose of the acquisiton is to provide TECR services to GSFC's laboratories. GSFC currently has approximately 7,554 pieces of equipment that may need TECR services on a regular basis or a case-by-case basis. The contract will be a cost-plus-incentive-fee, performance-based contract with a two-year basic period of performance and three one-year options. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 8731 and 1,000 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-14. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about February 15, 2000 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about March 31, 2000. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
