SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT -- MULTIFAMILY TENANT CHARACTERISTICS SYSTEM The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Multifamily Tenant Characteristics System (MTCS) collects, stores and generates reports on families who participate in Public Housing, Indian Housing, or Section 8 rental subsidy programs. Using vendor software, MTCS collects information from HUD Form HUD-50058 and loads the data into the database to generate reports. The HUD Office of Public and Indian Housing and the MTCS (Multifamily Tenant Caracteristics System) Team is pleased to announce a meeting for MTCS software developers, PHAs and other interested parties at Loew's L'enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C. on February 10, 2000. The meeting will give vendors, PHAs and other interested parties an opportunity to provide recommendations on a draft of the revised Form HUD-50058. Our hope is to develop a new revised Form that meets new data collections needs of the Public Housing Reform Law. Please note that this proposed revised form will be published in the Federal Register for public notice and comment after the meeting takes place.
