Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and supervision required to completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures for Project #550-303, Renovations for Realignment of Ambulatory Care, Building 98 at the VA Medical Center, Danville, Illinois as required by the contract drawings and specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, asbestos floor tile and mastic removal, site work, sidewalks, grading, drainage, relocation of site utilities, mechanical and electrical work; laboratory construction, utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and certain other items. Areas will be renovated for a Primary Care Unit, Eye Clinic, Podiatry Clinic, and an Accessioning Lab. A building addition including a new entrance will be constructed to expand the existing intake areas and Ambulatory Care Clinic One. The construction cost range for this procurement is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1542. The solicitation documents will be available after February 11, 2000. All requests for bid packages shall be in writing addressed to the Contracting Officer and accompanied by a $25.00 non-refundable bid fee made payable to Department of Veterans Affairs.
