This action will acquire the design and prototype fabrication of a new Water Tanker variant for the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles along with subsequent testing support. The 2 prototype vehicles shall be designed around an existing FMTV truck chassis and meet the same requirements all FMTV vehicles must meet. Based on FAR 6.302-1(a), we plan to negotiate this on a cost plus fixed fee basis, sole source basis with Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc.
