The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is requesting quotations from vendors to provide four (4) Multiton, Model ELE 45, Electric Walker Pallet Trucks or equal; Three (3) Crown hand Pallet Trucks, Model #PTH50, or equal; and four (4) Presto push Around Stackers, Model #HB652, or equal. The salient characteristics of the Electric Pallet Trucks are: 1) a capacity of 4,500 lbs; 2) 20.8_ x 48_ long forks; 3) 18_ fork spread; 4) 5 x 5_ between forks; 5) 6.25_ individual fork width; (6) A 24 volt, 195 AHC Industrial Battery; 7) A single phase, fully automatic charger; 8) A transistor speed control; and 9) A minimum 6-month warranty on all parts and labor. The Salient Characteristics of the Hand Pallet trucks are: 1) 5,000 lb; Capacity 2) 18_ wide x 48_ long forks; and 3) 6-month warranty on all parts and labor. The salient characteristics for the Electric Push Around Stackers are: 1) 12 Volt Electric Lift; 2) Outrigger legs 36_; and 3) 6-month warranty on all parts and labor. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses(see numbered Note 1). The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is RFQ-28-023. Delivery shall be no later than March 15, 2000. Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination to the BEP Loading Dock at D Street, Between 13th and 14th Sts., S.W. Washington, D.C. 20228. The resulting purchase order shall be firm fixed price. The basis for award shall be price and other factors e.g., past performance and quality. An award will not be made unless all technical requirements are fully met or exceeded. This includes the required delivery date. All interested small businesses are requested to submit a written quotation that will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a SF 1449 or on company letterhead. Quotations shall include a technical description of the equipment being offered that demonstrates that all salient characteristics are fully met or exceeded. This may include product literature, or other documents. The Quotation shall include the delivery period and the vendor_s commitment to meet their proposed delivery schedule, the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number, size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business).
