The Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), on behalf of the Program Executive Officer -- Tactical Aircraft Programs {PEO(T)}, plans to conduct a limited competition between Data Link Solutions, L.L.C. (DLS) and ViaSat, Inc. for U.S. Army Multifunctional Information Distribution System -- Low Volume Terminal (MIDS-LVT) production requirements (i.e. the MIDS-LVT(2) variant). The planned award will result in a modification to one of two current indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity contracts for MIDS-LVT Production, N00039-00-D-2100 (DLS) and N00039-00-D-2101 (ViaSat). The contract modification will contain firm-fixed-price (FFP) CLINs for the firm requirements of MIDS-LVT(2) first article qualification, non-recurring engineering, and production with FFP option CLINs for spares, warranty, supportability set-up/management, maintenance & repair, technical data/computer software rights associated with a technical data package and a cost-plus-fixed-fee option for engineering services.
