Washington DC 20418) The service is to "Construct Communities to promote Youth Development" and will synthesize previous work in the youth development area and newly emerging literature on youth development and interaction, familial, social, and community factors which collectively influence youth development. The work will bring together, in workshops, an interdisciplinary group of researchers, service providers, policy makers, and other key stakeholders to examine the evidence regarding key contributors of various settings of youth development, and the experience of existing youth development programs implemented accross these settings. Backgroud papers will be commissioned for each workshop. Each workshop will yield a brief summary report and final book length synthesis report. The period of performance on this sole source procurement is 12 months, and the request for proposal release date will be on or about March 16, 2000. Please see note #22.
