Services of an Architectural/Engineer (A/E) for design of project to Create Public Restrooms for the VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky. Project involves the creation of several new restrooms as well as the remodeling of several of the existing restrooms. Many of the existing restrooms were originally constructed in the 1940's and do not meet the current space, privacy, appearance, or accessibility standards. The new design will conform to current standards and provide adequate facilities for our patients and visitors. All construction phases will be involved. The A/E team must include a certified industrial hygienist for planning of asbestos abatement throughout the project. Drawings shall be accomplished on "CAD" and be compatible with VA Auto Cad System format software, Auto Cad Release 13. The A/E will be required to complete all design work within 180 days of contract award. Design is to include preparation of complete drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates per VA guidelines. Estimated construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. See number Note 24, SIC 8712 Architectural Services applies to this procurement. This solicitation is unrestrictive in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Area of consideraiton is restricted to firms located within a 30 mile radius of Louisville, Kentucky.
