The U.S. Secret Service intends to procure Encase computer software training on a sole source basis from Guidance Software, South Pasadena, California. There are no resellers authorized by Guidance Software to provide this training. This request for quotation (RFQ) is issued a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, for the following items: 24 hours of instruction on the use of ENCASE computer forensic software including hands-on training in all functions of the software on simulation evidence exercises, 100 each; courses to be taught at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Glynco, Georgia, 3/17 -- 3/21/00; 4/28 -- 5/2/00; 6/23 -- 6/27/00; and 8/4 -- 8/8/00.
