The purpose of the solicitation is to procure a broad spectrum of analytical, administrative and/or technical support services in support of the Maritime Administration (MARAD) Ready Reserve Force (RRF) program. The general areas of the services to be performed include, but are not limited to, updating/editing of RRF support documents such as operation and instruction manuals; defining hardware, equipment and/or system requirements and specification development; audio visual communications and computer maintenance; statistical data analysis; computer software development and testing; database design, development and conversion; development of requirements and software for interfacing and/or integration of software applications. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 7379. This acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns in the immeidiate Washington Metropolitan area. Qualified firms must have a proven background of providing services of the type identified above and must possess, at time of submission of proposals, a valid ISO 9000 Certification in information technology services or engineering services. The period of performance for the contract shall be one (1) year, with an option of four (4) additional years.
