dock repairs including, but not limited to the following Base Items:
(1) Welding Repairs, (2) Renew Bulkhead Stiffeners In Shaft Alley, (3)
Clean, Inspect, and Preserve Diesel Fuel Tanks, (4) Clean, Inspect,
and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks, (5) Clean and Inspect Sewage Holding
Tank, (6) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shaft, (7)
Straighten Shaft, (8) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearing, (9) Renew
Shaft Sleeves, (10) Remove and Reinstall Propeller, (11) Perform Minor
Repair and Reconditioning of Propeller. (12) Clean and Test Skin
Coolers, (13) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring and Renew the 850
Transducer, (14) Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves, (15) Inspect and
Test Air Receivers and Relief Valves, (16) Overhaul, and Inspect Chain
Stoppers, (17) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder Assembly,(18)
Inspect and Test Buoy Crane (Level II) (19) Perform Non-Destructive
Testing of Pad Eyes, (20) Preserve Bilges in Shaft Alley Void and
Lazarette, (21) Renew Anti-Sweat Coating System In Shaft Alley Void and
Lazarette, (22) Preserve Underwater Body, (23) Renew Cathodic
Protection System, (24) Perform Inclining Experiment, (25) Ultrasonic

Vessel_s homeport is Caswell Beach, North Carolina. Vessel_s length is
65 foot Inland Bouy Tender. Vessel width is 17_4_. Vessel availability
schedule is for Twenty-one (21) days, starting June 5, 2000. The place
of performance for this vessel is geographically restricted to no open
water transits; restricted to the protected waters of the cutter_s
assigned area of operation. Orders for U.S. Coast Guard specification
reference drawings must be placed within ten (10) days from the
solicitation issuance date. There will be a non-refundable charge of
$150.00 required, in the form of a certified check or money order
payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for requested drawings in paper form.
There won_t be any charge for requested drawings provided on CD-ROM.
The CD-Rom(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.
*.TIF, *TIF (group4), *.DWG, and *.DWF, etc.). All other referenced
documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600,
Norfolk, Virginia. Funds are available for this procurement. The
proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or around February 22, 2000. All responsible sources may
submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast
Guard. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority,
