United Defense Limited partnership (UDLP) has been awarded a contract from the Army Office of Program Management (OPM), Crusader, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, for the development of the next generation Self Propelled Howitzer (SPH) and Resupply Vehicle (RSV). The contract requires compliance to DODI5000.2 Cost and Schedule Control Systems Criteria and the implementation of a Design to Cost (DTC) program. The program is employing Integrated Product Development and is organized to support that initiative. A Request for Proposal (RFP) is expected to be released 4 February 2000 for the the services listed above. The subcontract period of performance is anticipated to be 1 April 2000 through 30 April 2003. The contract is intended to be a time and materials contract and the work is expected to be performed on site at UDLP.
