The Government intends to procure on a sole source basis to Arrow Electronics, Switch/Indicator Assembly, Eaton Corp Part Number 3578-2, quantity 50 each. THIS SPECIFICATION DESCRIBES THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A RFI SHIELDED MULTISTATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY, CONSISTING OF MANUALLY OPERATED ILLUMINATED PUSHBUTTON ALTERNATE ACTION SWITCHES, ILLUMINATED INDICATORS, AND AN ASSOCIATED MODULAR MATRIX FRAME SUBASSEMBLY, FOR USE IN MILITARY ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT. SWITCHING ACTION SHALL BE A TWO POLE DOUBLE THROW PUSH-PUSH (ALTERNATE ACTION) TYPE WITH A BREAK-BEFORE-MAKE (NON-SHORTING) CONTACTS. ALL LAMP S SHALL OPERATE AT 5 VOLTS, AT A NOMINAL .06 AMP RATING. THE ALUMINUM MATRIX FRAME SHALL BE FURNISHED WITH A TERMINAL BLOCK AND TERMINALS TO ACCOMODATE THE SWITCH AND INDICATOR MODULES. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation, supplemented with information included in this notice. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses at FAR 52.213-4 Terms and Conditions -- Simplified Acquisitions (FEB 1998), and any others that are applicable and in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) and the Defense Acquisition Circular.
