Reference previous DSCP Commerce Business Daily announcement (September 9, 1999)seeking domestic sources interested in providing commercial safety shoes in support of the Navy to participate in a wear test. Referenced announcement stated wear test approval is now required for Navy footwear bag items in order to participate in future competitive procurements. All firms who have participated in the wear test have been notified of the results and are eligible to participate in this procurement. Men's and Women's shoes are to be Vendor Managed (VM) at Great Lakes Recruit Center and Chino, Chesapeake, and Pearl Harbor sales stores. All other Navy customers will be supplied by Bill and Hold (B&H). Men's quantity: Min/Max 55,800/161,850 pr with four option terms. Each option term quantity: Min/Max 62,360/142,520 pr; Women's quantity: Min/Max 9,600/22,250 pr with four option terms. Each option term quantity: Min/Max 10,440/24,000 pr. The Government intends to make one award. Procurement will be issued on an Unrestricted basis and will be evaluated under best value procedures.
