This is a potential technology development and licensing opportunity with Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC (BBWI), the prime operating contractor for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). The INEEL has developed a unique solid catalyst process for sustainable solid acid alkylation production of motor fuels. BBWI is seeking a written indication of interest from companies interested in commercializing the technology by funding a pilot-plant project, providing in-kind contributions, and generally being involved in further development of the technology. The INEEL is also seeking Department of Energy funding to be combined with industrial partner funding for such a project . This is also a technology licensing opportunity. This is not an opportunity to provide goods or services to BBWI or the Department of Energy. This Request for Interest (RFI) will close to response 10 days after publication.
