This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation SECHQ1-00-Q-0007 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requires hotel accommodations for senior level staff from foreign securities commissions, participating in the SEC's 2000 International Training Institute. Accommodations are necessary from April 2, 2000 through April 16, 2000, for approximately 35 people. Evaluation Criteria: Award will be made on the best value basis to that offeror whose quote is determined to be technically acceptable and determined by the government to be the most advantageous offer in accordance with the evaluation criteria: Technical is weighted significantly higher than price. Technical Factors are: 1. Ability to accommodate a large group of people. 2. Ability to demonstrate easy accesibility to the metro station. If however, technical quotes submitted receive a relatively equal rating, evaluation of the price quote may be the determining factor for award. Price Factor: Lodging costs may not exceed the US dollar Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR) per diem rates in effect in Feb 00 ($118.00 per night in DC).
