The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to procure from the Boeing Company, McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, software changes to modify 501 each fire control computers (FCC) with the flechette rocket firing software and other software updates for the AH-64A helicopter. The period of performance is 30 months, starting at date of contrct award. Options for this procurement are (1) data exchange capability via the AN/ARC-220 High Frequency Radio; (2) implementation of a second FCC as a backup; (3) implementation of added navigation cueing.
