The U.S. Army CECOM Acquisition Center -- Washington, on behalf of the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Joint Program Office (JPO), is soliciting the best ideas in the form of thirty-five (35) page White Papers from industry organizations, for the rapid development and fabrication of 40 engineering development models (EDMs) and 220 ruggedized prototype JTRS, two or more channel, vehicular mounted radios. These EDMs and prototypes are required to satisfy warfighting test and evaluation objectives relating to the JTRS Software Communications Architecture and the embodiment of that architecture in tactical radios. This Announcement supersedes BAA DAAB15-00-R-0004, released on 12 December 1999, which is hereby cancelled. Responses to this Announcement shall be submitted in their entirety.
