CONTRACTORS CONFERENCE The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) has established February 22, 2000 as the rescheduled date for the environmental and new contractual requirements conference for privatized prison contracts. The conference originally was planned for January 26, 2000 and was canceled due to inclement weather and closure of Government operations. The FBOP invites all potential contractors who may be considering participating in FBOP future procurement actions for low-security privatized beds to attend the conference. The FBOP will discuss in-depth environmental requirements and provide guidance to potential contractors on complying with the requirements. It is the FBOP's intent to ensure all interested parties have a clear understanding of these requirements. It is suggested that environmental experts attend with potential contractors. The FBOP conference on February 22, 2000 will be held in Washington, D.C. at the Hyatt Regency located at 400 New Jersey Avenue, N. W. (Capitol Hill), from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
