Project requirements include the construction of approximately 35,730
linear feet of shallow water terraces. The terraces are to be
constructed in an area of shallow water located south of the
Intracoastal Waterway and east of the Sabine River. The terraces are to
be built to a height of 1.8 feet NAVD, are to have a minimum top width
of 3 feet, a 10 feet average bottom width, and are to have a 1-1/2 to
1 sideslope. The water depth that the terraces are to be constructed
in varies from 0.2 feet to 2.5 feet and is dependent on tidal
fluctuations. The performance time provided for this requirement is 73
calendar days. This acquisition is unrestricted. IFB packages will be
made available on or about March 1, 2000. A formal pre-bid conference
and site showing will be held prior to bid opening. The contracting
officer should be contacted by those intending to attend the
