to maintain and repair airfield pavement. Work areas will be
identified and repair work will be done by Delivery Orders. This
project shall include but not be limited to the following: provide
closed markers for runways, taxiways, apron and other airfield
pavement; provide demolition and disposal of defective/shattered PCC
pavement; provide demolition of existing bases and subbase, subgrade,
defective bases, excavate and dispose of existing cement treated base,
lime treated base, and similar; excavate, remove and dispose of
contaminated asphalt concrete, PCC, base materials, subbase materials
and subgrade materials per environmental regulations; prepare and
compact existing bases, subbases and subgrades to remain; replace
unsatisfactory, subbase, subgrade with satisfactory materials; provide
grading/regrading and swales, provide new 8 inch drainage gravel layer
and cement treated base; provide full depth and partial depth repair
for PCC slabs; apply prime coat and tack coat on underlying surface to
receive hot bituminous mixture; provide hot bituminous mixture to the
finished grade with new hot plant mix asphalt concrete to depths of 2
to 6 inches on shoulders, runways, taxiways, equipment pads and other
areas; provide lighting system, fixtures, cans, transformers and other
required components; adjust manhole to finish grade, dispose of all
construction material off TAFB property in an approved landfill;
provide traffic barriers, closed pavement areas. The project is not
limited to the above. Issue date O/A 29 Feb 00. Estimated cost range
between $1,200,000 and $3,000,000. Performance period is 18 months. The
Standard Industrial Code is 1629. The related Small Business size is
$13,500,000. This requirement is unrestricted. Electronic requests must
