Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies and materials necessary to replace approximately 6,900 square feet of asbestos tile shingles on Building 825 with new glass felt shingles. All work shall be performed in accordance with the prevailing Federal, Maryland State, and local laws and regulations. Building 825 is located at the DNSC Curtis Bay Depot, Baltimore Maryland. b. All roofing materials shall be removed from the wood decking boards. Existing roofing materials to be removed includes, but is not limited to, asbestos roofing tiles, roofing felt, nails, and metal ridge cap. The existing gutters and downspouts on Building 825 shall be protected from damage or removed, stored, and reinstalled after installation of new roofing. Gutters and downspouts damaged due to Contractor's work operations shall be replaced at Contractor's expense. Contractor shall assure that the interior of the building remains watertight from project startup through to final Government acceptance. The new roof system, except for the plywood roof sheathing, shall be installed in accordance with the product manufacturer's published instructions. Plywood shall be installed as specified below.
